Ceremony Details

Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2026Time: 10:30 AM PCT

Location: Japanese Canadian War Memorial(Located near the Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park)This ceremony is a hybrid event (in-person & virtual) open to everyone.

Please join us for light refreshments and a chamber opera presentation by Taka Lee at the Pavilion in Stanley Park immediately following the ceremony.

This year, we celebrate the installation of the Japanese Canadian Soldiers of the First World War and the Fight to Win the Vote Plaque, honouring the brave Japanese Canadian veterans who served in the First World War and waged a determined struggle to secure the provincial franchise for veterans in British Columbia in 1931. Rightfully installed at the Japanese Canadian War Memorial in S
