What happens when we encounter an artwork without first trying to understand it?Inspired by the art exhibition Still, Something Glows, Roaming the Internal Terrain is a guided ekphrastic writing workshop facilitated by Lindi Nolte.

Participants will spend time with selected paintings from the exhibition, using colour, gesture, atmosphere, imagery, and intuition as starting points for new writing. Through guided prompts and close observation, the workshop invites you to notice what a painting awakens—whether a memory, sensation, image, question, feeling, or unexpected association—and follow it onto the page.

The workshop takes its name from one of the exhibition’s central ideas: that each of us carries an interior landscape shaped by the experiences, places, emotions, and fragments that accumulate within us.
