Book Launch with Troy Little

Bookmark, Charlottetown’s independent bookstore, is pleased to be hosting the launch of Troy Little’s new graphic novel Levada on Thursday, November 19th at 7 pm in the bookshop at 111 Kent Street. Troy will be talking about the inspiration that led to the book’s creation, the hiking trip behind the book, and signing copies. This event is free and open to everyone. In the graphic novel Levada, an unlikely pair of characters cross paths while hiking on the beautiful island of Madeira, Portugal. What follows is a meditation on the idealism of youth and the lessons of a life lived. Author and artist Troy Little spent his 50th birthday on a quiet, 7-day solo hike around the island, sketching and reflecting on life. This graphic novella was inspired and informed by that trip.
