Free youth workshop at Cossitt Library! Learn the tech behind online gaming then design your own game character. No experience needed!About this Event
Free Youth S.T.E.A.M. Workshop at Cossitt Library!BDPA Memphis is partnering with Cossitt Library to bring a free hands-on workshop to Memphis youth, and it's going to be a great time! Two sessions. One amazing afternoon.
First, we're diving into the computer science behind online gaming with our Gamified Computer Science: Networking session, discovering why clicking fast isn't always enough and how the internet actually works behind the scenes of the games you love.
Then we're getting creative with Game Art & Design, taking inspiration from character customization in games like Fortnite to design and animate original game characters using professional sprite sheet templates.
No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity and creativity! https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events1/banners/653a4710-c389-11f1-8964-5b65d1557b86-rimg-w1200-h474-dc482818
