# Designing for a better world
[World Usability Day](https://www.worldusabilityday.org/?utm_source=luma) is a day to celebrate and advocate for *making things work better* by enhancing effectiveness, efficiency, safety or enjoyment. This year's theme is **Nature within reach: Designing more accessible everyday connections to nature.**
**Get your ticket here: [https://luma.com/elksruwy](https://luma.com/elksruwy)**
**Optional ticket price: $5 MRU student / $10 Standard**
Drinks, pizza and some other snacks/sides will be provided.
Urban green spaces offer opportunities for relaxation, physical activity, social connection, and improved well-being. Yet access to these benefits isn't equally distributed. The challenge isn't necessarily that cities lack parks. It's that green spaces don't guarantee people can access or enjoy them.
Join Calgary UX and MRU’s Information Design program as we explore how to design future-ready experiences that are both groundbreaking and responsible. Toge
