About this event

We’re heading back to the Oakland hills for another hike through the redwoods! We’ll start at **Roberts Regional Recreation Area** and follow a loop into the adjoining **Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park**.

This is a **5.1-mile loop with about 1,100 ft of elevation gain**. Expect shaded redwood groves, some more open ridge sections, and a few steeper climbs to keep things interesting. This route is also part of the 2026 East Bay Regional Parks Trails Challenge.

**We’ll continue with our average pace of 21–23 minutes per mile. Everyone attending should be comfortable hiking at this pace and keeping up with the main group.** Please consider the distance and elevation gain when deciding whether this hike is within your comfort range.

Dogs are welcome, but please keep them **leashed during the group hike**.
