Victor Atkins is a celebrated pianist, composer, and educator. Born and raised in Selma, Alabama, Atkins developed a deep passion for music early in life, influenced by gospel and blues traditions, he honed his craft through formal studies, earning a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music. Atkins gained prominence in the 1990s as a key member of the Grammy Award-winning jazz group Los Hombres Calientes, where his innovative arrangements and dynamic performances captivated audiences worldwide. Victor has toured and performed with an impressive list of artists including Freddie Hubbard, Aaron Neville, Brian Blade, Lalah Hathaway, and Nicholas Payton. Atkins has also made a significant impact as an educator. He serves as a Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of New Orleans, where he mentors the next generation of musicians with his expertise and passion. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.

This event is 13 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 13 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund.
