Having presented about Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan earlier this year, Irene will complete the set by presenting about her 2 trips to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Each country has its uniquely awesome aspects, sights, and history.
However, what unites them is their history of hosting the Silk Roads, connecting China via Central Asia to Turkey and Europe. The presentation will show the amazing tile work on the mosques and madrasas, some historical references including the impact of rule under the Soviets, the food, and people.
