Saturday, Nov. 7th, TITLE TOWN Soul & Funk Party is back and we welcome special guest DJ Julio Fernandez from Lancaster, PA via Oviedo, Spain . Fresh off another year of hosting the Keystone Soul Weekender, he’s bringing a record case packed with ‘60s and crossover soul, a little ‘70s and funk when floor catches fire, and the kind of deep, sweaty grooves that keep you dancing ‘til the lights come on.
Julio’s soul journey started in Spain, where he co-organized Segovia’s Boss Sounds to Beat the Ground and Madrid’s Cool Reggae Nights, and he’s been behind the drum kit for The Peeping Toms and The West Kensingtons, backing legends like Laurel Aitken, Rico Rodriguez, Roy Ellis, and The Silvertones. Since landing in Lancaster, he’s built the scene from the ground up, from the monthly Red Rose Soul Club to a three-day weekender that pulls DJs
