The first, The Laws of Nature and of Nature's God: The People Address the Nation’s Issues (The Society, The Environment, The Displaced), features a world premiere by Nicole Lizée with works from their repertory of social justice commissions. The Crossing is a Philadelphia-based professional chamber choir celebrated as the originator of a new canon of American choral music and dedicated to the commissioning and performance of new choral music. Conducted by Donald Nally, the ensemble has won four Grammy Awards and is recognized internationally as one of the most important forces in contemporary choral music.
