About this event

This three-part series inspired by Rick Rubin’s book “The Creative Act: A Way of Being” walks us through the journey of the creative process from inspiration, to creation, to sharing. This journey of self-expression is one of the most fundamental aspects of being human. Our individual set of experiences, thoughts, humor, and fears creates a unique lens through which only we can see the world. When we recognize this, we can begin to see how the act of creating helps us make sense of our own inherent worth.

In the second session, we will create. Expressing a thought gives it form and makes it real, and what emerges is often not what we expected. If we stay present and receive rather than force, the work can become what it wants to become, still filtered through our one-of-a-kind lens. You can build on a previous inspiration or improvise something new; pen and paper will be provided, but feel free to bring your own medium of expression.

Join us to create!
