The Claw

Dear Friends of Casket Cinema, Casket Cinema pins you to the mat in November with the Mn-made documentary “The Claw”. This documentary was one of the “Bests of Fest” selection at the MSPIFF and tells the larger than life tale of James Raschke, an introverted wrestler from the Midwest who transforms into Baron von Raschke, one of the greatest bad guys in the history of pro-wrestling and master of the world-famous Claw hold. Directed by MN music video director Philip Harder (Prince, Foo Fighters, Tuscaloosa), The Claw uses rare Super 8 family footage, 16mm vintage clips, and raucous re-creations starring Jim Raschke himself, as he narrates and acts out the most outrageous moments of his own extraordinary life. This film will play on November 19th at 8pm. Special guests are director Phillip Harder, he will converse with Casket Cinema co-founder Mark Wojahn after the screening. This will be a fascinating evening of local film, especially to those who love the early days of pro-wrestling. W
