The Great Pumpkin Pet Party Returns to the City Market for a Howl-O-Ween Fundraiser

Halloween isn’t just for people this year.

The Great Pumpkin Pet Party is bringing some festive fun to the Saint John City Market on Saturday, October 24, inviting pet owners and animal lovers to show off their creativity while supporting a great cause.

From noon until 3 p.m., costumed companions of all shapes and sizes as pets compete for bragging rights, prizes, and the title of one of the event’s “Top Dogs.”

The highlight of the day is the Pet Costume Contest, beginning at 2 p.m., where judges including Mayor Donna Reardon and Councillor Ryan Moore will help select the top three costumes. While dogs are expected to steal much of the spotlight, all pets are welcome to participate.

Beyond the costumes and contests, the event has an important community focus. Donations will be collected throughout the afternoon in support of the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue. Anyone who makes a donation will receiv
