Sunday Morning Bird Walks Take a guided walk on the Garden’s nature trails with a Friend of the Garden volunteer and learn about Newfoundland birds. Bird watching sessions start at 8:00am on Sunday mornings, 9:00am in October. • Please meet in the parking lot across the road from the main gate. • The group leaves promptly on time, so please be there a few minutes early. • Binoculars are helpful, and comfortable footwear is essential. • Walks usually last 1.5 – 2 hours. • Newcomers are welcome. This program is offered by volunteers. You can check if the program is going ahead by calling the Garden the day before the program at 709-864-8590 (between 10:00am-4:00pm). There is no fee to go on this guided walk. 2026 Guided Walks will run • May 3, 10, 17, 24 • June 7, 21 • July 5, 19 • August 2, 16, 30 • September 13, 27 • October 11, 25 These walks are intended for individuals and small family groups.
