Raised in Toronto’s arts school community, she began songwriting, collaborating, and performing at a young age. A formative trip to Nashville at thirteen sparked a lasting connection to folk music, and ten years ago she relocated there to pursue her career. Gillespie released her debut EP, Pink and Gold, earning over three million Spotify streams and praise for her emotive vocals. Her single, “Not Having Fun,” surpassed two million streams and appeared on Q with Tom Power and many Spotify editorial playlists. Her transparent and vulnerable writing complements her poetic storytelling, finger picking, and witty persona to create something truly special.
