Birthday cake, baby bears and bananas mark the path of the Red Road for River, a reformed party girl about to give birth to her first daughter on the anniversary of her last hangover. Addressing the fallout of a couple hundred years of colonial dispossession through movement, prose, and song, Canadian choreographer Olivia C. Davies shares a story of memories that run like a river from mother to daughter and holds the truth of her life within its hard edges.
