Why we picked it

Please read the entire event description before signing up. This is an all-day event, from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm or later. We will drive 2 1/2 hours to Saskatchewan Landing (30 minutes north of Swift Current), hike all day, and then return home. **This will be an intermediate/difficult event, depending on your hiking skill/fitness level. Because of this factor I'm limiting the attendance to 12 hikers. There will be elevation gains of 50 to 150 meters several times during the day, and I plan on hiking about 14 kms. That being said, there are also stunning views and a unique landscape for Saskatchewan. If you have hiked to mountain peaks in the Rockies, you should be fit enough for this hike. If you can't do long hikes or climbs straight up, please don't sign up.** We will do a loop from the end of the road from Goodwin House off Hwy 4. We'll start partway along Leg 1, Horseshoe, of the Beaver Flat 50 Marathon, total of about 9 kms. We will then continue on Leg 2, Spring Coulee, back to
