Nanaimo Tape Tales: Rewinding Analog History Together

We're gathering to celebrate the cassette tapes that soundtracked our lives, and honestly, it's going to be a pretty special afternoon. Whether you're someone who's been collecting since the 80s or you just picked up your first Walkman last year, this is a casual space to connect with other people who get the appeal of analog. We'll be sharing favorite finds, swapping stories about memorable recordings, and just geeking out over the tactile joy of tape culture together.

Bring a tape or two if you'd like—it's a great conversation starter—but there's absolutely no pressure to show up empty-handed. We're planning to have some sound equipment on hand so people can actually listen to what they've brought if they want to, and we'll have plenty of time to just hang out and chat. Expect a mix of nostalgic reflection and genuine curiosity about why these little rectangles still matter to so many of us.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, please go ahead and RSVP so we have a rough headcou
