Mount Rubidoux Hike to the Cross at Sunset

This hiking trail is a paved 3.2 mile loop with a 501 ft. elevation gain and is considered relatively easy. It is located near Riverside, CA. It has beautiful views of Riverside and the surrounding areas. It's a very popular trail, and lots of fun!

Parking is at Bonominio Park at the bottom of the hill. There is free parking and clean restrooms there. We will meet at the parking lot, by the planters near the restrooms between 2:45pm and 3pm

The trailhead is across the street and up the hill from the parking lot. The trailhead begins on the left side of the hill, then eventually diverges to either left or right part way up the hill. I prefer to take the trail to the right on the way up, and the left on the way down. There are two rock bridges and a tower this way which are fun to explore.

There is no water and there are no restrooms on Mt. Rubidoux. I recommend bringing plenty of water and snacks. This trail is very family-friendly, so children are welcome. Bring the family! Dogs on l
