Moonlight Hike - Ajax Waterfront

Join us for our second moonlight hike of the season. We plan to post hikes throughout the year during the nights around the full moon. These hikes are all about the energy of the moon. We can share interesting facts about that months full moon.

We will hike at a easy pace doing 5 - 6 km in 2 hrs or less. Please bring a headlamp or a flashlight.

This month we will walk the path along the Ajax waterfront. Watching the moon rise over **Lake Ontario** is quite the experience. The moon looks bigger when it rises because of a trick of perception known as the Moon illusion. Since there will be no obstructions at the waterfront we can put this illusion to the test.

Let's hope it will be clear so we can see the sun at night. The moon can get bright enough to turn off our headlamps while we hike so, if you haven't experienced a night hike, come out and enjoy the adventure. Just don't be the last in line.😬
