About this event

Running Man is a 4 piece punk rock and roll band from Rock Island, IL fronted by Skip Greer of the Dead Kennedys. The other members have been playing in bands and touring the Midwest for decades. Aggressive yet catchy tunes mixed with Skips poetic lyrics makes for a nostalgic old school post-punk sound. For Fans Of: Television, Dead Boys, The Stooges Hard-driving, mid-tempo Midwestern punk. The deft interplay between the bass and guitar crafted around the solid drums throws you the frequent curveball to keep it interesting and off any expected path. Plus, there’s a DIY spirit in the lyrics that call to hold on and look forward despite personal and global tragedy. For Fans Of: Replacements, Husker Du Sandpaper plays fun fuzzy rock songs in and about Minneapolis. Other topics include idling cars, magnets, and air conditioning.
