Why we picked it

Join us for our Mini Powwow Celebration to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and contributions of Indigenous Peoples this National Indigenous History Month. Enjoy this hour-long powwow performance featuring the Kowacatoose Boyz Singers and Dance Troupe, an intergenerational family group, together sharing cultural songs and dance through the heartbeat of Mother Earth. They are a family group who range from 4 years of age to 73 years old. They have travelled throughout Saskatchewan sharing and spreading a beautiful positive message of hope and healing. The family not only shares a little of who they are as Indigenous people, but they also captivate the talent of the younger singers and dancers. Together they spread the message by walking together in Truth and Reconciliation, the way the Creator has always intended it. Through live singing and dance, attendees will be introduced to a variety of powwow styles and learn the significance of powwow, reg
