About this event
Join The National Film Board of Canada for an inspiring afternoon exploring the power of mentorship, creativity, and artistic legacy through film, conversation, and community. The program features screenings of two acclaimed NFB films: Imprint (2025), a poetic animated tribute by Newfoundland artist and filmmaker Duncan Major to his mentor, Tara Bryan, and The Muse (2025), filmmaker Wanda Nolan's touching documentary about an unexpected cross-generational creative friendship. Following the screenings, Duncan Major will share an artist talk into the making of Imprint and the role mentorship has played in his artistic journey, followed by a fireside chat with Duncan Major and Wanda Nolan, and an audience Q&A. This is a free program, but a ticket is required. Please reserve your free ticket online or by calling 709-757-8090. (Ticket does not include access to galleries) This program is presented in collaboration with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB).
