Memory Mug-Up: Newfoundland and Labrador as the 10th Province

What do you remember about the 1950s and 1960s? Do you remember traveling on the CN Railway? Perhaps you remember holding a special purchase from Bowring’s or Ayre’s? Maybe you have fond memories of travelling with family across the province on the newly opened highways. When Newfoundland joined Canada, the province experienced massive changes, and the people living here bore witness to them. To expand our knowledge of our collection, we are asking for your help. While artifacts and photographs help represent our history, personal experiences of everyday people are essential to enrich it.
