About this event

Lynne Avadenka is an American artist/printmaker. She is known for her works that explore text and image, the physical and philosophical idea of the book, and the mystery and beauty of visual language. The combined power of word and image is an essential element of Lynne Avadenka’s artwork, no matter what the chosen media. She is guided by the original concept of the book, as a repository of memory and loss, as a vehicle for transmitting transcendent information and as a singular object binding together a multiplicity of meanings and ideas. Avadenka will be sharing images and ideas of her mixed media works (prints, collages, folding screens) inspired by the idea of the book. Presented by The Moosnick Lecture Series and Morlan Gallery Also check out other Arts events in Lexington.
