Liminal , the Grammar of Thoughts

An interactive textile installation using knots and inflatables to explore tangled thoughts, connection, and the power of play.

About this Event

Our thoughts possess the power to either constrict or liberate us. They can leave us feeling tangled within ourselves, or they can create space for clarity and freedom. To give form to this invisible aspect of human experience, artist Vidushi Parashar represents each individual thought as a single tube.

At its most fundamental level, the tube can be understood as a line, and the line as a thread, the smallest unit from which a larger textile structure is built.|+ | = XNot every thought is harmonious, and when we have contradictory thoughts, they begin to intersect = knots.

These knots become metaphors for our internal conflicts, moments when contradictory thoughts, fears, and expectations collide. The sensation of feeling “knotted” within does not emerge from a single thought, but from the accumulation and entanglement of many.
