Our past conversation on the topic of response, along with a few recent local and world new stories have had me thinking about the value of being proactive and prepared.

So let’s be proactive by exploring the theme of proactivity and preparedness in our own experience and in the world. Here are a few questions to help us prepare for the conversation…

* In what circumstances do you tend to plan and think ahead and when are you likely to let things unfold without too much forethought? What is your experience with both?

* Can you think of a situation that would have gone better had you/we been more proactive? What red flags were missed and what may have helped prepare for or prevent this situation?

* What prevents us from approaching situations proactively and what is the downside of hyper preparedness? What should we be more proactive about and when should we trust and let things be?
