### Reading Event Structure We will be reading in English and Japanese from 上級へのとびら Gateway to Advanced Japanese. Please note: for those studying Japanese, ability to read hiragana and katakana is required. 1. **Warm-up**: Start with brief introductions and a friendly chat to get warmed up. 2. **Reading Format**: * **Turn-Taking**: As planned, take turns reading paragraphs or dialogues. This keeps everyone engaged. * **Pairing**: Pair non-native speakers with native speakers for real-time corrections and support. 3. **Correction Guidelines**: * Encourage a positive and constructive environment. Native speakers can gently correct pronunciation, intonation, or grammar. 4. **Discussion Points**: After reading, have a brief discussion about the content. This can include questions, themes, vocabulary, or personal reactions to the text. 5. **Wrap-Up**: Conclude with a summary of what was learned or enjoyed during the session. We will provide digital copies of materials for each lesson
