Why we picked it
Join us for the second annual Jane’s walk through Downtown Kitchener with a lens of reflecting on the public art and the history of the city. https://janeswalkwr.com/2026/02/19/art-and-architecture-of-downtown-kitchener-2/ As we walk through downtown Kitchener, one comes across many curious sites and pieces of public art. Join us on this leisurely walk, where we begin near the site of the city’s first town hall and market, tracing the imprint of early settlers through the streets of old Berlin. Along the way, public art and architecture reveal stories of growth, identity, and transformation etched into the city’s urban fabric. We welcome everyone to join us but please note that this walk has the same content and path as last year. We encourage everyone to ask questions and share their knowledge of the city. Let’s use this as a platform to connect more deeply with our city and our neighbours.
