About this event

@ Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of silverpoint drawing! Discover the fascinating qualities of silverpoint, a drawing medium favoured during the Middle Ages and Renaissance by old masters, such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Albrecht Dürer. Participants will create an original silverpoint drawing of a leaf onto a prepared board that will develop warm brown tones as it ages. Beginners welcome.   Each attendee will receive a silver drawing pencil and learn how to continue using this medium beyond the classroom.   Saturday, September 12, 1 to 4 p.m. Public $70, TBG Members $65 (plus applicable taxes and fees).   About Alan Li Artist and conservationist Alan Li uses pencils, ink and paint to document the wonders of the natural world.
