Into a River: Weaving Art Workshop

“Into A River” is a community art workshop inviting participants from diverse cultural backgrounds to create intuitive thread-based works on canvas inspired by their emotions, memories and personal experiences. Each artwork becomes part of a larger river-like installation symbolizing migration, connection and belonging within Canada’s multicultural society. Through the layering and interweaving of threads, the project celebrates the beauty, resilience and complexity of individual and collective identities. This workshop includes access to and will take place in the Becoming: The Art of Gu Xiong exhibition.
