Gabriel Isko: Godot on Linux – an Open Source Game Engine

Description:

Appreciation about Godot which is an open source game engine. This

presentation will go over previous game engines and why they haven't

been open source as well as what makes Godot uniquely suited for open

source development.

The talk will also have a brief overview of making games in Godot as

well as a demo.

Biography:

Gabriel Isko is a professional development operations engineer that

works with Linux for application infrastructure at the United States

federal government.

He also is developing his first commercial video game which he plans to

release his a demo in the beginning of 2026.
