About this event

A $5 materials fee will be collected on-site for the workshop. In Japan, people often choose different vessels for different drinks, seasons, or moods. Many people have a favourite teacup or rice bowl that they use every day.In this workshop, you’ll enjoy tea served in my handmade porcelain vessels and discover how a vessel can change your drinking experience. You’re invited to imagine your ideal vessel or think about a vessel that has special memories for you. Draw it or write about it on a blank postcard. I’ll treasure your postcards as memories of this cultural exchange. Your ideas and stories may inspire my future work. At the end of the workshop, you’ll receive: A postcard featuring the vessel you chose A packet of Japanese green tea to enjoy at home
