Join us for Houston's third annual Witch Paddle! Inspired by the growing popularity of "witch paddles" nationwide (see NY Times article below), we are holding Houston's third annual Witch Paddle on Sat 10/31(rain date Sun 11/1).
Our first two paddles were a huge success, with 20+ paddlers, and were written up in the Houston Chronicle (link).
Please join us in wearing your finest Halloween attire, ideally witch / wizard themed.
UPDATE FOR 2026: For ease of access, this year we're doing an out-and-back paddle, beginning and ending at Allen's Landing.
We'll paddle from Allen's Landing, historic birthplace of Houston, west up Buffalo Bayou through Buffalo Bayou Park (to Waugh, or Shepherd if you're feeling adventurous), then back to AL. Crucially, we will thus have access to rental paddle-craft from Buffalo Bayou Kayaks. They rent both kayaks and paddleboards - please give them a call / shout online to secure a craft.
