(Bus hike) Kennedy Peak is a Massanutten Mountain peak with wonderful panoramic views of the Page Valley and six bends of the Shenandoah River; it is the “high point” of this wild hike, which starts and ends at Edith Gap. Moderate hikers take the Massanutten and Stevens Trails to Kennedy Peak and return to Edith Gap. Long hikers will follow the same route but add an out-and-back ridge walk to Hebron Gap, before ascending Kennedy Peak. Est.: 14 miles, 1700' elevation [less by adjusting Hebron Gap portion] and 9 miles, 1300'. PATC Map G. Fare: $37. Fare increase due to the increased cost of diesel fuel.
