Harmonize and get creative with Sylvia and April in a two-part community singing event in Nanaimo: a song circle led by Sylvia, and a Sound Sculpting Playshop led by April. Come to one or both, with ginger tea in between! Optional potluck outside afterwards. 2:00 - 3:20pm: Song Circle led by Sylvia Humble. Soulful, spirit-lifting songs on the theme of gratitude and wonder, with layers and harmonies, from the community singing movement. All songs are taught by call and response in the oral tradition; some with 3 or 4 harmony parts, and some with simple structures allowing for harmonies to arise organically in the moment. There is always room for creativity and movement, and chairs are optional.
