About this event

Kuroda Yasumasa Sensei, the 16th Soke (headmaster) of the Shinbukan Kuroda Dojo, is traveling from Saitama, Japan to Fresno. On Saturday evening he's giving a free public demonstration, and you're invited. The samurai martial arts of his family date back five centuries, to the founder of Shinkage-ryu swordsmanship - one of the original Japanese sword schools. Kuroda Sensei is the primary teacher of five classical samurai arts: swordsmanship, the art of drawing the sword, unarmed jujutsu, staff, and pressure-point arts. His family arts are known for "disappearing movement", and it's something you have to see in person. 📅 Saturday, October 24, 5:00 to 6:00 PM 📍 Pacific Martial Arts, 6735 N. First St., Fresno (SW corner of First & Herndon, inside Herndon Valley Fitness) 🎟 Free and open to the public. No RSVP required. Hosted by Fresno Samurai Arts and Pacific Martial Arts. Questions?
