Why we picked it

"Everything has a hole" is a two-hander about water and plastic featuring performer creators Lois Brown and  James O’Callaghan (composer). Described by Rick Mercer as “unsettling, beautiful and very funny."  What appears on the LSPU stage is lots of water and plastic moved as it moves. We hear it. We sense ourselves as containers of water and a part of a larger hydro-commons, as we stretch to imagine water beyond the anthropocene, the warming, the data centres -- to think of water's essential and striking beauty, its ice and steam, its weight - our thirst, its oneness and realize this element that keeps us alive won’t always be available. Predicted by artists for years, now it's real. We invite you to world the water on our planet, and in our cyborgian bodies with its microplastics, and to imagine water anew.
