About this event
Dia da Consciência Negra: live Afro-Brazilian perfomance streamed from Brazil, followed by a dialogue on history, identity and resistance.
About this Event
Dia da Consciência Negra (Black Consciousness Day) is observed in Brazil on November 20, honoring Zumbi dos Palmares, leader of the Quilombo dos Palmares, and the ongoing struggle for racial equality. This event invites you to join that commemoration.
Live Afro-Brazilian dance streamed from Brazil brings the movement, music, and traditions of Afro-Brazilian communities directly to you. These art forms carry centuries of memory, resilience, and creativity, and they are as much storytelling as performance.A group dialogue on history, identity, and resistance gives everyone space to reflect, ask questions, and share their own perspectives.-------------------------Português abaixo:
