Convergence at First Evangelical Covenant

Convergence brings together distinct voices, sounds, styles, and generations through the colorful world of the woodwind trio. Oboe, clarinet, and bassoon move between individual voices and a unified ensemble—from the striking unison and interwoven lines of Disciplines to the unconventional sounds of wood, glass, and metal in NIK-NAK. In Sequoia Trio, three individual voices come together to paint an expansive musical landscape inspired by the giant sequoias of the American West. Contemporary works converge with marches, ragtime, folk, and pop hits of the past bringing contrasting American musical traditions together through three distinct voices.
