CONC's Weekend Explorers: ONE STARRY NIGHT Friday, 28 August 2026 Every Friday night, from spring to fall, assuming clear skies, the Okanagan Observatory on Big White Road hosts free public viewings. Astronomy club members will have their telescopes on hand and be using the observatory 25 inch telescope to show off celestial wonders such as the Moon, planets, comets, dying stars, stellar nurseries, globular clusters, open clusters and galaxies. It’s a little early to know how clear our skies will be Friday, but if viewing conditions are good, the Weekend Explorers will take advantage of this opportunity.
