City Walk Mason Park and Old Harrisburg, 6.5 miles

Starting at the **East End's Mason Park**, this walk will take us to the confluence of **Bray's** and **Buffalo Bayous,** then on to **Brady Island**, and the site of **Harrisburg**, the earliest Texas settlement on the Buffalo Bayou. From there we continue to **Glendale Cemetery**, final resting place of San Jacinto veterans and many early Texas pioneers (sites still available at reasonable rates.) After all that excitement we head home.

Our organizers are not guides nor do we have any special training. We are here to come up with hiking ideas and get the hike started. Take the same precautions you would if hiking alone, including the fitness needed to make long hikes. Then enjoy the hike among friends.
