About this event
This fall, join us for a conversation around Rabbi Sharon Brous’ The Amen Effect, a thoughtful and deeply human exploration of the practices that help communities become places where people are truly seen, known, and accompanied. Drawing on ancient Jewish wisdom, contemporary research, and stories from congregational life, Brous explores our longing for connection — and what it can look like to be present to one another in joy and grief, in difference and disagreement, and in the ordinary moments of life together. We’ll read, reflect, and talk together, considering what it means to show up, to listen, to bear witness, to make room for grief and joy, and to recover a sense of wonder. Come ready to listen, reflect, and join the conversation. Copies of The Amen Effect by Sharon Brous will soon be available at the Welcome Desk at church, or wherever you purchase books. Wednesdays, beginning September 9 | 6:30–7:30 p.m. Sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/amenfall26 Also check out other Arts
