Why we picked it

Ankara Carnival 3.0 aims to celebrate the vibrancy, creativity, and cultural richness of Africa through Ankara fabrics. The event is a gateway to a world of African fashion, music, arts, and entertainment. We named this year's event "A Blended Culture" because we also wanted to include others. We want everyone to come out to showcase their culture and tell us about their cultural values. The event is taking place at mâmawêyatitân centre, a venue chosen due to its name which in Cree language means "let's be all together". It signifies a combination of working together and spiritual connection, reflecting a collaborative space. There are going to be talks from Indigenous Knowledge Keepers about their cultural values, different cultural group dances, and displays from both African and Indigenous peoples. This event is open to anyone & everyone who wants to experience and understand African, Caribbean, and Indigenous cultures. Come be a part of the celebration! &
