September 18 and 19 in the Horticulture Building (Lansdowne Park) Kwey! Pìjàshig kakina! Please join in celebrating the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation at the first-ever Anishinabe Algonquin Days! Anishinabe Algonquin Days was developed in collaboration with Anishinabe Algonquin Nation leadership, community members and the City of Ottawa. This free, two-day event was created to celebrate and learn about the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation, whose unceded and unsurrendered land the City of Ottawa is built on. Learn from Anishinabe Algonquin leaders, Knowledge Keepers, Elders and community members about the culture, traditions, history and lands of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation. Both days will showcase Anishinabe Algonquin talent and knowledge and include a vendor marketplace, information booths, performances, cultural demonstrations and more!
