Alfaaz 2026 returns to Halifax on Saturday, August 1, at the Bus Stop Theatre. Created and organized by Jaideep Tuli, Alfaaz is a multilingual evening of poetry, shayari, spoken word, storytelling, and music in English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and other languages. The event began from a personal need for a space where people could speak honestly, share what they carry, and connect through words. Over the years, it has grown into a community gathering for both experienced artists and first-time performers. Performer registration closes July 21. After that, the team will begin finalizing translations, the performance order, rehearsals, and the overall flow of the evening. Audience registration is also open.
