Why we picked it
Plan is to meet at the Oshawa GO Station with our bikes, board the Go Train and ride in to Toronto Union Station. We exit the station, Mount our bikes and ride west along the Martin Goodman Trail. When we arrive at the Humber River, we head north Along the trail/bikeway (it’s a shared pedestrian path so we will have to keep an eye out for pedestrians). As we head north along the trail there will be several bridges to cross, and many vantage points for photography. At Weston Road, the trail briefly makes use of a roadside pedestrian side walk for a short 200 metre distance, after which the trail continues northward. At some point, we will make a turn to retrace our steps, and at Bloor Street, we will exit the trail system and come along Bloor Street to the entrance of High Park. High Park is closed to vehicular traffic when the cherry blossoms bloom, so we may be required to walk our bikes through the gardens to admire the magnificence of tbe Cherry blossoms.
