About this event
For our first event, Paul Pham will present Ewin Tang's paper, "A Classical Framework for Dequantizing Quantum Machine Learning" [https://arxiv.org/abs/1807.04271](https://arxiv.org/abs/1807.04271).
We will include a background tutorial on quantum computing and the related problem of collaborative filtering ("the Netflix prize").
Reading the paper beforehand is encouraged but not necessary. All curious folk of any skill level are welcome.
