About this event
Learn how 3D printing can make learning more hands on and accessible with cool object based teaching ideas.
About this Event
What if your students could hold a pottery shard, a sculpture, or a cell structure in their hands? Join us for a conversation about how 3D printing can bring objects into the classroom, make course materials more accessible, and support your learning outcomes, no technical background required.
Our panelists will share examples from campus, including a set of tactile models originally created for a biology student with a visual impairment. They’ll also discuss how replicas can let students in anthropology, art, and other disciplines examine artifacts up close without risking the originals. You’ll hear how to connect 3D printing to special collections materials and align it with course goals, and we’ll answer common questions about copyright and fair use.
Bring your questions and your course ideas. Panelists
Sohail Wasif, Creative Lead, Application & Multimedia Developm
