2027 NY Metropolitan Backgammon Open

The New York Metropolitan Open stands as the largest and one of the most prestigious live backgammon tournaments in the United States. Sanctioned by the U.S. Backgammon Federation (USBGF) as a premier American Backgammon Tour (ABT) event, this multi-day championship draws top international grandmasters, dedicated enthusiasts, and newcomers alike. Organized by Lynn Ehrlich and hosted at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson, the tournament features a packed schedule of high-stakes competition and side events. Players can compete across multiple skill levels—including Championship, Intermediate, and Beginner divisions—as well as specialized events like the $5,000 High Roller Doubles, the Lady Liberty Cup, and Backgammon Masters Awarding Body (BMAB) sessions. Combining fierce competition with a vibrant community atmosphere, the New York Metropolitan Open stands as one of the most important ABT events on the tour. https://nybackgammon.net/
